Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic Gymnastics is a fusion of sport and art; combining elements of ballet, gymnastics and skilful manipulation of the ball, rope, ribbon, hoop or cube; throwing, spinning, rolling and catching it. The choreography is performed individually or in a group of up to five people and must cover the entire floor with a balance of jumping, leaping, balancing and pivots. The sport requires a high level of athletic skill, key movements, strength, flexibility, endurance and hand-eye coordination.
